The first time couple of times I went to Hip Hop I wasn't a huge fan. It was good but it wasn't to the point that I had to come back. But when I started dating this guy, all he talked about was Hip Hop Fish & Chicken. I thought he was crazy until I tried it again. From that point on I was addicted! I love the seasoning and flavor of their fried food!
Every time I go to Hip Hop I have the wing and shrimp combo basket that comes with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw is hitting too, by the way. But I have had their tilapia before and it was crispy on the edges and flaky in the middle which is how most people like it so you'll enjoy it.
The only thing is, if you go expect a wait. When you go through the drive thru there is a sign that's reads this is not a fast food establishment. They literally cook your food when you order it so everything is fresh.
Albany has some neat food places and it's a plus that they stay open late. If you get a chance I would definitely suggest giving this place a try. -

Recently was in Albany for a family event and we decided to get some chicken. I don't know why but its really hard finding businesses that sell whole fried chicken wings. This place does it all justice. I don't know what of grease, breading they use but their chicken always comes out golden. Not burnt or dark but golden. They add lemon pepper powder I believe on top of the chicken as well. Delicious. Once you get that food in the car its hard not to start eating it right away because it smells so dang gone good. Love this spot on Slappey Blvd.

So disappointing. Long ass wait. The philly was just inedible. I got a fry had to do something they got mixed in and straight up smelt like a turd. I don't know why people love this place.

Great food! Cooked fresh. The inside of the restaurant is very clean! Friendly staff. Guilty pleasure when you want fried chicken, fish or other fried goodies!
